Omar Eljach is now officially a two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet winner after taking down the €550 Pot Limit Omaha 8-Max event at the 2023 WSOP Europe.
The Swedish poker pro outlasted a field of 719 entries to claim the title, along with €65,900 in top prize and his second bracelet.

Just nine players returned on the final day to play down to a winner, with Eljach holding the chip lead. The Swede scored the first elimination of the day, sending Michal Mrakes to the rail in 9th place for €5,200. He went on to eliminate Anson Tsang who was second in chips when the final action began. Tsang finished 8th for €6,700.
Tsang’s exit was followed by three eliminations which occurred in quick succession – Patrik Jaros (7th, €8,700), Martino Cito (6th, €11,500) and Ihar Pliashko (5th, €15, 500) – with Eljach finishing off two of these players.
The eventual winner continued his knockout streak, busting Michael Rodrigues in 4th place for €21,000. The next player to leave the table was Roland Israelashvili who helped himself to a 3rd-place finish, taking home €29,100.
The heads-up battle between Eljach and Diana Volcovschi was a pretty short affair, with the action concluding on just the second hand. Volcovschi went all-in in a cooler in which the pair both flopped a flush. But the tournament was really destined for Eljach as his opponent settled for second place with a €40,700 payout.

Omar Eljach had a dominant showing in the tournament, entering the final table as the chip leader and never relinquishing that position. On his way to victory, he eliminated six of his final table opponents, with the Swede remaining confident in his play all throughout.
Eljach captured his maiden bracelet just last year when he won the 2022 WSOPE Main Event for a massive €1,380,129, the largest score of his career.
In his post-win interview, Eljach revealed he wasn’t really interested in the payout jumps as his main goal was to claim his second bracelet. And it was realized, thanks to his determination and confidence. The WSOPE festival continues at King’s Resort Rozvadov and Eljach plans to take a shot at more poker games such as PLO events in a bid to expand his bracelet haul.
